Anyone who takes vitamin supplements and looks at its bottles or boxes is familiar with the vitamins that are contained in each tablet.

But what do those vitamins really do? Do you really need to take them? Below is a list of the most common vitamins found in supplements as well as a description of what they do.

Vitamin A

- commonly found in leafy vegetables and in other products like carrots, broccoli, papaya, eggs and liver, this vitamin helps keep the eyes healthy. A deficiency of this vitamin can cause permanent loss of eyesight.

Vitamin B1

- thiamine is the other name for this vitamin. It keeps the heart and the digestive and nervous systems functioning normally. Aside from that, thiamine is also important in a person’s physical growth and development. Good sources of
this vitamin include beef, pork, nuts and legumes, among other foods.

Vitamin B2

- otherwise known as riboflavin, this vitamin is important in metabolizing energy as well as fats, carbohydrates and proteins. Common sources of this vitamin include milk, cheese and leafy vegetables. A deficiency of this vitamin
is signaled by cracked lips, mouth ulcers and sore throat, among other symptoms.

Vitamin C

- also known as ascorbic acid, this vitamin has a lot of benefits attributed to it. Some of them include boosting the immune system and minimizing the symptoms of illnesses. It is also a well-known antioxidant. Lack of this vitamin
can cause scurvy that leads to loss of teeth and eventually, death.

Imagine starting dinner, the onions and garlic sizzling away in the frying pan, tomatoes chopped and ready to go, all you need is a bit of fresh thyme and you have the perfect spaghetti sauce. So you just pop out the front door and grab a handful. Sounds nice, doesn’t it? But many people are afraid to start herb gardening because they think it is too difficult for someone who is just getting started.

However, herb gardening isn’t nearly as difficult as you might imagine. In fact, if you begin with seedlings, you shouldn’t have any problems at all! There is no need to start seeds, which can be rather difficult and time consuming. Just pop down to your local plant nursery and they can set you up with a wide variety of herbs for your new garden.

A herb garden can be planted just about anywhere that you have space. A strip of dirt beside the front walk, or you could take over a flower bed or two. Even if you have no outdoor space, herbs can be grown in large containers set in a well-lit area or on the balcony. So, you see, there really is no reason not to start herb gardening today.

Before planting your herbs, you will want to make sure that they have a nice nutritious soil to go into. Add aged manure or bagged fertilizer to the area that you plan to use for herb gardening and turn it over with a shovel so everything is mixed in. Now you are ready to get started planting.

Herb gardening requires a little bit of planning, not much. When you buy your plants, they should come with a little plastic marker that gives you basic information about each plant, how tall it will grow, how wide, etc. It is a good idea to read this information before planting your baby herbs. This will help you arrange your herb garden in the most efficient manner possible.

You will want to leave sufficient space around each plant to allow for its eventual growth. Gardening this way means that you won’t have to dig things up later, although it might mean that your garden looks rather sparse for the first year or so. To fill up extra spaces in the meantime you can put in temporary flowering plants like marigolds and pansies.

Taller plants should go in the back of the flower bed if it is along a fence or house. For a round or oval shaped bed, you will want the tallest plants to go in the middle and gently slope down from there. When herb gardening, you need to remember that access is key if you want to enjoy the herbs in your food. To pick them, you have to be able to reach them!

Once you have started gardening, it is hard to stop. You will find yourself pausing to check out gardening techniques on your way to work or when you take your daily walk. Anything interesting and you’ll be back to apply it to your own gardening in the herb plot! It really is quite addicting.

By Ryan Matthews

Are you sick of filling out surveys and doing data entry?

How would you like to be given a short tutorial on how to promote herbal products and make money online?

Herbal products sell like crazy these days. They sell crazy just about everywhere they are stocked.

Did you know that you can promote almost ANY herbal product ONLINE?

- You don’t need to stock the herbal products

- You don’t need to provide customer support

- Heck…you don’t even need to touch the product.

The system I’m talking about is known as Affiliate Marketing.

Affiliate Marketing is insanely powerful and can just about be implemented by anyone, even by children.

Making money with affiliate programs is broken down into the following core topics

- Find out what people are looking for online

- Provide them with what they want

It’s as easy as that. Broad, but spot on.

You simply sign up to affiliate programs (which are free) and then grab the affiliate links.

When somebody clicks through the affiliate link and buys the product on the landing page, you are credited with a commission.

For herbal products the commissions can be really high. In some cases up to $200 per sale! You would be surprised to know how many people actually buy herbal products online. They DO, because the majority of the products cannot be found at their local pharmacy!

Now as a future affiliate marketer you need to build yourself an empire online. What I mean by that is, you need to build a reputable website online or get somebody to build it for you. You’ll then need a domain name and hosting which will usually cost you $9 per year for a domain name and about $8 per month for a hosting account.

You think it’s difficult to built your own website? You’ll be surprised to know that it’s actually VERY easy. If you can work with Microsoft Word, then you can easily create a website, seeing that the majority of website building software are super easy to use.

You should create a website that is filled with information on what your target market wants and then point them to a page that pre-sells the herbal product. You can talk about the benefits of the herbal product etc and then provide them with the affiliate link. You should promote your website online by submitting article like this one as well as optimize it for the search engines like Google so that you can rank well in Google for the terms and phrases that your pages target.

Affiliate marketing is an art form and there are a lot of things one needs to learn as well as implement to make a very good income. However, everything can be achieved over time and with the right guidance.

- Want to learn how to do Affiliate Marketing from A-Z?
- Want to get shown step-by-step via VIDEO how to create websites from scratch?
- How about learning how to drive traffic to your site?

OK…what about learning how to become a SUPER Affiliate?

If you have gingivitis or other teeth problems use this remedy and see your problems disappear. It’s a simply collection of powdered herbs that give you tooth relief.

Everyone has a variety of bacteria in their mouth. Some have more than others. This bacterium helps you by beginning the digestive process.

Excess bacteria in your mouth have now been found to cause more than tooth decay, gingivitis or gum disease. So, you need to know, even though you might not have gingivitis, how to control these plaque-building bacteria in your mouth.

Bacteria that create gingivitis live in your plaque and cause your gums to inflame, bleed, and separate from your teeth. You can also have bad breath when you have gingivitis. In more severe cases, your gums become sore, teeth hurt, gums recede, and teeth loosen.

To stop the inflammation and gum separation use this natural remedy to kill some of these bacteria and strengthen your gums in your mouth.

Here are the herbs and the formula you will need to make a remedy for a mild case of gingivitis:

2 parts white oak bark herb – powder

1 part myrrh gum herb – power or granules

3/4 part Peppermint leaves converted to powder

½ part anise herb – power or seeds

1/8 part clove - powder

If herbs and leaves are not in powder form, grind them in a coffee grinder. Use this formula to make as much powder as you want.

Place the mixture into a small container. I usually use a small-unused vitamin bottle.

I usually mix a small amount and use a tablespoon as my measuring tool. For example, 2 tablespoons of white oak, 1 tablespoon of myrrh gum, ¾ tablespoon of peppermint leaves, and so on. The measurements do not have to be so precise.

How to use it:

To control bacteria in your mouth, use this power once a week. If you have gingivitis, you can use this 3 times a day. Place some powder on your toothbrush and brush your teeth and gums. After brushing spit out, a few time, the saliva and residue powder. Don’t rinse out your mouth since you want to keep the active herb powders in your month. You can swallow any that remains in your mouth with no problem.

This powder combination is bitter, but quite powerful and will get the job done. You can add more peppermint powder to make it less bitter, if you like.

For severe cases of gingivitis and toothaches, you can also moist some powder with distilled water and then place the paste all along the your teeth and gums – front and back. Leave the paste in your mouth as long as you can. Don’t worry about the herbs getting in between your teeth. This remedy works.

My wife was schedule for a root canal last year and a few weeks before her tooth started paining and couldn’t sleep. So I made this remedy. She just placed the powers around the painful area. It wasn’t long before the pain stopped and she was able to go to sleep.

There have been other clients that have used this remedy for a month and successfully avoided having the dentist apply gingivitis treatment. In cases of severe gingivitis, go see your dentist and at the same time use this remedy.

American ginseng is an erect plant that reaches a height of 0.3 to 0.7 meters and has fusiform roots, greenish-white flowers and red berries. The roots and rhizomes are often branched or forked, and they bring a premium price if they resemble a human form.

Wild ginseng once thrived along most of the nation’s eastern seaboard, from Maine to Alabama and west to Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota. American ginseng, (panax quinquefolium) was at one time plentiful in all mountainous regions of the United States. However, it was over-harvested in the mid-1970s, and was subsequently defined as an endangered species. Now, only licensed ginseng harvesters are allowed to dig for the wild ginseng root.

Ginseng was one of the earliest marketable herbs harvested in the United States. Wild ginseng was one of Minnesota’s first major exports. In 1860, more than 120 tons of dried ginseng roots were shipped from the Minnesota to China. American ginseng is similar to Asian ginseng, Panax ginseng, L. that grows wild in Northern Manchuria and has been harvested there for thousands of years. Currently, 18 states issue licenses to export it. In Wisconsin and several other states where ginseng is cultivated, a permit is not required to export artificially propagated ginseng.

American ginseng is also commonly cultivated. It is relatively easy to grow. The root takes approximately 5 years to reach harvesting maturity. American ginseng plants are generally started from seeds. Seedlings or roots for transplanting are available commercially but used infrequently. Seeds are planted in the fall and germinate in the spring.

American Ginseng is not a drug and should not be taken as such. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified it as a “generally recognized safe food” (GRAS).
